Kondapi/Addanki: Reaffirming the coalition government’s commitment to welfare and development, Social Welfare Minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar distributed NTR Bharosa social security pensions to beneficiaries in villages of Prakasam district on Wednesday, while simultaneously inaugurating several infrastructure projects.

At Chirrikurapadu village in Jarugumalli mandal, Minister Swamy distributed pensions door-to-door to beneficiaries, accompanied by district collector P Raja Babu and AP Maritime Board Chairman Damacharla Satyanarayana. Addressing the gathering, the minister said the state government was honouring every election promise despite financial constraints, ensuring pensions were disbursed on the first of every month without fail.

He highlighted significant pension hikes under NTR Bharosa, from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 for differently-abled persons, from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 for those suffering from chronic illnesses, and from Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 for bedridden patients. APMB Chairman Satya said that Andhra Pradesh distributes the highest pensions in the country, and that development works worth Rs 2 crore had been completed in Chirrikurapadu village alone during the coalition government’s two years in office.

Meanwhile, Minister Ravi Kumar distributed welfare pensions to beneficiaries in Perayapalem village in the Addanki constituency. He stated that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had enhanced pensions with a single stroke of the pen, contrasting it with former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s five-year delay in raising pensions by Rs 1,000. He emphasised that social security pensions provided genuine financial security to the poor.
