Warangal: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president Prof M Kodandaram has demanded the State government to constitute the Women's Commission with immediate effect.

Speaking at a Round Table conference here on Saturday, he urged the government to ensure uniformity in dealing with the crime against women. "There was an imperative need for constituting the State Women's Commission that has been pending for some time," he said.

The onus is on government to provide speedy justice to the victims' families, he added. The authorities need to form fast track courts to deal with the crime against women, he demanded, referring to the molestation and murder of a teenage girl of Hanamkonda by Puli Sai Goud on November 28.

The victim's mother Swaroopa alleged that three persons were involved in the case of her daughter's molestation. She demanded the same justice as it was done in the case of Disha.
