Warangal: Errabelli Dayakar Rao rules out talks with striking junior panchayat secretaries
Warangal: Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao appealed to junior Panchayat secretaries (JPSs) to withdraw their strike and join the duty immediately.
It may be mentioned here that the JPSs are on strike since April 28, demanding regularisation of their services. In a statement released here on Thursday, the minister told the JPSs not to violate the terms and conditions of their contract. He said that the agreement stipulates that JPSs should not affiliate with any service union, organization, or association. The employees have also declared that they will not lay claim to any right of regular appointment, he recalled.
“The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has a good opinion on the JPSs; hence the employees should return to their offices. The JPSs cannot dictate terms to the government,” Errabelli said. The minister ruled out any possibility of holding talks with the stirring JPSs. “The JPSs spoke to me on the phone and poured out their problems. I told them to stop the strike and spread misinformation on social media. I didn’t assure them of holding parleys with the government,” Errabelli said.
