Telangana: 3 test positive for coronavirus in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district

Coronavirus in Telangana: Three youngsters from Jayashankar Bhupalapally district in Telangana have tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. The three belong to Korishala village of Mogullapally mandal in the district.

According to the district medical and health officer (DMHO), Dr Gopal Rao, all the three patients contracted the virus from a 75-year-old man of Nawabpet village of Chityal mandal who tested positive on May 22. On the following day, the wife of the man was also tested positive and all were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.

The district official said that all the people have returned from Mumbai recently. With the three fresh new cases, the total number of positive cases in the district touched seven. The residing area of the people was sanitized and the officials have launched a search to trace the primary and secondary contacts of the patients.

On Sunday, the state reported 41 coronavirus positive cases. Out of them, 23 were from areas under GHMC, one from Ranga Reddy while 11 cases were of migrants and six foreign evacuees.
