Unidentified assailants abduct 10-year-old boy in Warangal

A 10-year-old boy was kidnapped by unidentified assailants here on Monday at Jayashankar-Bhupalapally of erstwhile Warangal district.

According to the police, the boy was playing in front of his house at Singampallil of Mahamuttaram mandal when he was abducted. Failed to trace their son, the parents of the 10-year-old Padma and Durgesh lodged a complaint with the police.

The police registered a case and are looking into the CCTV footage to nab the assailants.

On March 2, 2020 - a six-year-old boy was abducted by five people at Renigunta railway station. The boy's mother Swarna Latha lodged a complaint with the police on March 3 stating that an unidentified woman abducted her son from the railway station.

A week after the incident, the police rescued the boy on March 9 and arrested five people identified as Ambika, Mariyamma, Subba Ratnam, Kumar and Ganga.
