Secunderabad: Deputy Speaker Padma Rao Goud launches developmental works
Secunderabad: Deputy Speaker and Secunderabad MLA T Padma Rao Goud laid foundations for several developmental works in various colonies of Sitaphalmandi division on Friday. Local corporator Samala Hema, TRS leader T Rameshwar Goud, GHMC Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar, Jalamandali general manager Ramana Reddy, EE Pramod Kumar, government officials Y Krishna, Santhosh, Paramesh, Madhurima, Anvith Kumar, senior TRS leaders and a large number of locals participated in the programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, Padma Rao Goud said the issues of the constituency were being addressed in a phased manner. He urged the officials to set deadlines to complete the developmental works. Officials would be held responsible for timely completion of the works, he warned. The works which were inaugurated include: laying of water pipelines at an estimated cost of Rs 13 lakh at Chilukalguda; Sewerage pipeline at Chilkalguda (Rs 10 lakh); water pipeline at Beedalbasti, Sitaphalmandi (Rs 9 lakh); cc road works at Shabazguda, Mohammadguda, Gamalapalli Basti (Rs 25.5 lakh). Developmental works worth Rs 57.5 lakh were commenced by him on the day.
Later, the Deputy Speaker participated in an awareness program organized by Jalamandali for regularisation of illegal taps. He urged people to follow the tips given by officials to save water and prevent water scarcity in the city. He called upon those who have illegal water connections to regularise their connections before February 21.
