PDSU, IFTU and PLY members staging a protest at Kotagalli NR Bhavan in Nizamabad on Monday

Nizamabad: The representatives of PDSU, IFTU, PYL and Praja Sanghalu ofganised a protest march at Kotagalli NR Bhavan on Monday, demanding immediate release of Delhi University Professor Sai Baba and revolutionary writer Varavara Rao.

IFTU leader B Bhumanna criticised that whoever speaks against anti-public policies of the government are being put behind the bars.

He said Prof Sai Baba and Varavara Rao were arrested by Central and State governments alleging that the duo had links with Maoists. Stating that both of them are sick, he demanded to release them on parole or interim hail. He also demanded to present both of them before the court if there are cases against them. Left parties have demanded that the government should stop attacks on writers. IFTU leaders LB Ravi, Sivakumar, J Murali, PDSU leaders Jannarapu Rajeshwar, Nikhil, Nitin, PYL leaders Vanamala, Satyam and Bhaskar participated.
