KCR neglecting RTC employees strike: MLA Sridhar Babu
Manthani: The RTC employees informed the government about their demands before taking up strike, but the government neglected their demands. That's why, the RTC employees went on strike, said Manthani MLA Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
He extended his support to the RTC employees, who are on strike and participated in a dharna along with them in front of bus depot in Manthani on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is behaving stubbornly with the RTC employees and facing them and High Court with his rude behaviour.
Why the ruling party MLAs, MPs and Ministers including other important senior party leaders are not uttering even a word about the RTC strike? he questioned. All the RTC employees coming on a single platform and united heading towards fulfilling their justifiable demands. In a democratic country, it is an appreciable act by the RTC workers, Sridhar Babu observed.
He said that it is the responsibility of the government to run the RTC without expecting any returns like other State governments across the country. The RTC employees wanted to explain how badly they were affected with the strike and their commitment to fulfil their justifiable demands during Million March, but the KCR government behaved harshly by using police power, lati charged and opened tear gas shells against them, he criticised.
MLA Sridhar Babu alleged that there is no democracy in Telangana State and police rule is going on in State. By understanding the suffering of RTC employees and their families, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao must fulfil all their demands along with merging the RTC with the government, he demanded.
