Hyderabad: Stringent steps on to check Covid-19: Mayor Bonthu Rammohan
Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan said that GHMC has been taking several measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. On Monday, he inspected spraying of Sodium Hypochlorite solution on Himayatnagar roads.
Speaking to media during his inspection, Bonthu Rammohan said that six high pressure jetting machines, which can spray with high pressure and cover larger areas in shorter time were being used for spraying of Sodium Hypochlorite on all the main roads of the city in a phased manner. He urged city people to cooperate with the government in the effective implementation of lockdown. He made a special request to those who returned from foreign countries to impose self-quarantine at their homes. He instructed GHMC teams to monitor home quarantine details and take necessary measures to prevent spread of the virus. Situation is being monitored continuously with the help from district officials of four districts under the limits of GHMC, circle officials, field inspection teams, health and medicine departments, 108, 104, revenue and police officials, he said.
He urged people not to go far for purchasing essential items and buy them from nearby shops and vendors. He advised people to avoid unnecessary journey and travel only in case emergency circumstances. In case any Coronavirus symptoms, people were advised to contact helpline number 104.
EVDM Director Vishajith Kampati and other GHMC officials were present on the occasion.
