Hyderabad: Lake beautification works to be completed soon in Saroor Nagar

Saroor Nagar: "Beautification works of lakes in the division will be finished within four to five months," said MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy. He held a 'padayatra' along with corporator Mudraboyina Srinivas Rao and inspected the beautification works of Saroor Nagar Lake beside Green Park Colony on Sunday. The MLA said, "The beautification works of lakes are almost in finishing stage. The lakes are getting beautified in LB Nagar division very fast with new technology and arrangements."

About the amenities being developed at the park, he said, "Walking and cycling track around Saroor Nagar Lake is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 16 crore. For developing tracks extra mud is being added at the lake, which is being made a big issue by portraying this as encroachment of lake."

He clarified that TRS government was at all working for the closure of lakes.

"The works are being carried out in a width of 6.5 mts of which walking track will consist of 3 mts and cycling track of 2.5 mts and lighting will be arranged in the middle of the track.

The two ends of the track will be filled with greenery," Sudheer Reddy added. He instructed officials to finish the works before the monsoon. Colony locals and municipal officials were among those present.
