Case filed on Singhania Foods International for supplying noxious chocolates to DPS

 Delhi Public School(DPS) Principal Sunitha Rao  complained in Nacharam police station on Thursday by stating that a proprietor cheated her by providing noxious Chocolates. According to K Venkat Reddy, Sub-Inspector of police, on occasion of Children’s day on November 14, she ordered 10,000 packets of Chocolates on November 13 from Singhania Foods International at Jalpally village in Saroor nagar.

The school management received the order on November 13 with the bill. In view of Children’s day they have distributed the Chocolates to the students. After school hours they had received a lot of complaints from the parents stating that chocolates were manufactured in 2014 with expiry date of 2016.

Many of the children vomited and fell ill. By supplying the noxious chocolates to the school, the proprietor of Singhania Foods International Ankit Agarwal cheated them and made hundreds of children’s health into risk.  

By registering a case under sections 272, 273, 420 IPC Nacharam police are investigating.
