Abids: Representatives of different social organisations and prominent social activists of the State have decided to work together under single platform against CAA-NRC-NPR, while setting common agenda they would be demanding the State government to address the burning issue.

A decision was taken at a consultative meeting held on Wednesday, which was presided over by Former High court Justice, B Chandra Kumar (convener Alliance CAA-NRC-NPR, Telangana Chapter). While Chairman, Catholic Association Kalasa, JAC convener, Mushtaq Malik, Senior congress leader, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Kiran Kumar Vissa (Citizens against NRC&CAA), Prof P L Vishweshwar Rao, Dr Kumar (BAMCEF), women activists Sara Methews, Jasveen Jairath Sadiq Ahmed (Co-co-convener Alliance), Dr Abdul Majeed, Mateen Pasha, Abdul Jabbar deliberated over the recent developments in Delhi and continuation of 'peaceful protests' in Hyderabad.

The organisers informed The Hans India that it has been decided to work unitedly against CAA-NRC-NPR as CAA was against the Fundamental Rights and Spirit of the Indian Constitution. "It is not only an issue of Muslims, but would have an impact on the livelihoods of all the backward communities and affect the overall growth of the nation. Fascist forces which do not wish India's progress are trying to change the constitution and demolish the unity of the people," they said.

A resolution was also passed demanding TS Government to reject the NPR and permit all type of protests against CAA-NRC-NPR. "It is also demanded that Govt. must form state level peace volunteers committees to maintain communal Harmony and peace in the state. It is also demanded that the State Government should withdraw all cases which were registered against CAA-NRC-NPR protesters and withdraw G.O.Ms.No.24 dated, 11 Feb 2020," states the resolution.

A separate resolution demanding that the Union government withdraw the CAA and stop NRC & NPR and conduct census as per old procedure was also passed.
