Amangal: Padma Nursing Home locked down for carrying out illegal abortions

Amangal: The District Health and Medical Officer of Ranga Reddy district, Swarajya Laxmi, locked down the Padma Nursing Home in Amangal mandal on Friday for carrying out abortions illegally.

It can be recalled that Keerthi, who was recently arrested by the police for allegedly killing her mother, Rajitha, by strangulating at her house in Hayatnagar in Hyderabad, had underwent abortion at the said nursing home. In this connection, the police who were investigating the case had directed the district health department to inquire the legality of the nursing home.

The DMHO after conducting thorough investigation had found irregularities and locked it down on Friday. "We have found irregularities in the functioning of the Padma Nursing Home in Amangal. We have issued notices and locked it down," informed Swarajya Laxmi.
