City boy selected for Team India Football Camp
Hyderabad: Giving due appreciation to his performance as Captian of Telangana State football team (U-19), the Students Games Federation of India (SGFI) selected Mohammed Ibrahim Nihal from City for taking part in the Team India Camp, which will be held in February.
Following this confirmation, while speaking to The Hans India, Nihal's father Zubair Ahmed informed that the upcoming football player had led the team in SGFI Football Championship held at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar during the sports event held between November 12 and December 6.
"Immediately after his arrival in Hyderabad, he heard about the good news that he was selected to represent the State in the Team India Camp," he said.
A student of St Mary's college, Nihal started playing football in school under the guidance of coaches Naidu and Asif.
He was selected for SGFI under-14 Telangana team in 2016 and played at Bhopal and later played sub-junior national in Ananthapur in 2017, while studying at International School, Shaikpet.
Later he joined Little Star Soccer Academy. Participated and played Hyderabad football league and won several medals including 'Man the Match'.
His team stood as runner up in the Mini Football National in 2017 held in Rajasthan, when he led as Captain.
Besides playing for Goa Super cup international youth league in 2018, he remains an important player of Hyderabad Football league.
