Time to save Sabarimala, says Paripoornananda

 Based on ancient Hindu traditions and beliefs, women of certain age-groups are barred from entering the temple and the government cannot hurt the sentiments and beliefs of Hindus

Musheerabad: Swami Paripoornananda on Tuesday said that it was time to save Sabarimala, the famous Hindu temple in Kerala. He was speaking at a programme organised by Sabarimala Samrakshana Samithi at Dharna Chowk on Tuesday. 

Paripoornananda expressed his anguish over the government’s attitude towards the Hindus. Based on ancient Hindu traditions and beliefs, women of some ages are barred from entering the temple and government cannot hurt the sentiments and beliefs of Hindus, he said. 

He said that he would sacrifice his life if necessary to save Sabarimala. He demanded that the Kerala government release Hindu devotees who were arrested during the agitation.
