Kakinada: Seer Swami Paripoornananda demands white paper on temple properties

Kakinada: Swami Paripoornananda of Sri Peetham here demanded endowments minister Velampalli Srinivas to release a white paper detailing properties, including jewellery and valuables of all Hindu temples in the state.

Addressing the media here on Friday, the seer threatened that he would resort to indefinite fast if the government failed to do so. He also sought sacking of all corrupt officials in the endowments department. He wondered why TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu kept mum over properties of temples, particularly of TTD, in the state. He expressed his anguish over lack of facilities for the Dhupa, Deepa , Naivedyam in the temples .

Swami Paripoornananda demanded the government to institute a comprehensive inquiry into disappearance of lands and other items belonging to Simhachalam temple in Visakapatnam and Durga temple in Vijayawada.
