Students end protest after TISS agrees to their demands

 The students of Tata Institute of Social Sciences ended the protest on Thursday after the institution agreed to continue BA social sciences course and hostel facilities for the students. 

As the administration has not relented to their demands, the students on Monday went on a hunger strike. The administration which was unbent with the students' protests came down on Thursday agreeing to their demands.

Apart from the social sciences course and hostel facilities, the students also asked the management to get TISS registered as a deemed university in other states as the institution has not got registered in states like Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. With the institution getting registered, the students of SC, ST and BC can avail the scholarship from the respective governments.
