Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy to join TDP tomorrow
Kurnool: Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash and his wife Kotla Sujathamma along with their followers like DCC president P Lakshmi Reddy and former ZP chairman Akepogu Venkataswamy and other leaders tendered their resignations to the Congress party on Wednesday.
It is reported that Kotla was not happy with the Congress. It is also said that he was not satisfied with the entry of Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy into the party. Kotla held several meetings with his followers in the segments where he is having strong base and later decided to quit Congress and to join TDP.
On Wednesday evening, Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy and other leaders in the party resigned and the letter was forwarded to the high command. He along with his wife Sujathamma and other leaders are likely to join Telugu Desam in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Kodumuru on March 2.
Naidu will be visiting Kurnool to inaugurate several irrigation projects. With the resignations of Kotla and his cadre, the Congress party lost its strength in the district. Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy is making efforts to carry out party activities in the district.
