Mangalagiri: Former MLA and senior TDP leader Kotla Sujathamma on Tuesday slammed the YSRCP government for totally neglecting all possible sectors of development and economic growth in Andhra Pradesh ever since it came to power 18 months ago.

Sujathamma deplored that the YSRCP regime's illogical and retrogressive policies were pushing the State backwards with no development at all. Whereas, the previous Chandrababu Naidu regime breathed a new life and raised hopes on exponential growth during its five-year term.

Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader said that while the old projects were either stalled or cancelled or undermined, there was no effort to start even new projects. The government had no idea about wealth creation or public welfare. The State was seeing a rapid decline in economy in all sectors.

Sujathamma made serious comments, saying that under the Jagan government, Andhra Pradesh had turned into a pauper State. The State was either begging for funds and everything or escaping from the situation whenever there was a crisis. Consequently, the voters who brought the YSRCP to power were being made to pay a very heavy price. Stating that the YSRCP leaders were only interested in their personal agenda and selfishness, Sujathamma said that the government was run by ministers who did not know the difference between cusec and TMC. As a result, serious harm was being done to big projects like Polavaram and Amaravati. During the TDP regime, both these projects were given top priority considering their key role in boosting the overall State economy.
