New India Chaupal organised to educate people on Central schemes

Tirupati: To showcase the Government of India’s achievements through various schemes for the socio-economic development of the masses, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting designed a programme called, ‘New India Chaupal’. It was held at Punganur and Madanapalle in Chittoor district to highlight the benefits of the Central government schemes. 

More than 3,000 people have attended the programmes at these two centres from February 22 to 26. It will be held across the State in various towns and villages till the second week of March.

During the event, few beneficiaries of various government schemes were felicitated. Videos of the beneficiaries of these schemes were also shown at the venue. 

Later, the beneficiaries were invited on to the stage to share their feelings. Entertainment and engagement activities such as ‘Nukkad Natak’, performances by local artistes, a lucky draw and a drawing competition were also held during the event. 

A ‘Jan Ki Baat’ booth was also erected for the visitors to drop their messages for the Prime Minister. The Ministry will organise around 8,000 such outreach programmes in 318 districts across the country before the end of March 2019. The main idea of this programme was to educate people about government schemes and encourage them to enrol themselves.
