SP warns people of unauthorised chits in Eluru
Eluru: Superintendent of Police M Raviprakash has appealed to the people not invest their hard earned money in chits organised by unauthorised individuals or companies.
He received complaints at weekly grievance cell at police headquarters here on Monday.
A person from the city approached the SP with a complaint that he was not paid chit amount by the organisers. A couple of other complaints on various issues were also received by the SP on the occasion.
Later, the SP warned people of joining chits organised by individuals and firms which have not authorized to do their business. By joining such chits people would lose their money when organisers cheat them.
The SP also dwelt on cheating by unauthorized agents by luring innocents to provide jobs in gulf countries. He said the police special branch have particulars of authorized agents.
People who wish to try for jobs in gulf countries should approach the special branch and know the details of the agents before proceeding any further, he said.
With regard to elections, the SP said that the police would arrange check-posts at various locations and at borders to check flow of liquor and money in the elections.
He said that trained officials of the police would not allow money and liquor intended for distribution to voters to lure them vote for any particular party at the time of elections.
