13 special officers to check mosquitoes

Vijayawada: Municipal Corporation Commissioner J Nivas here on Friday said that 13 special officers were appointed to supervise the anti-larva operation in the corporation limits. He informed that anyone facing problem of mosquitoes can contact mobile no 9949621993 to get assistance.

He added that to control the mosquito problem, anti-larva operation will be taken up by the health department daily. He said that sanitary workers will clean the stagnated drainages in all the divisions and they will use the oil balls in the stagnated drainage systems for killing of the larva.

Every Wednesday, power will be sprayed under the culverts, he added. He mentioned that 60 members were appointed for anti-larva operations and 30 members were for fogging operation in the city. To supervise all above workers, 13 special officers were appointed, informed Nivas.
