Central team inspects exhibition on Phethai damages

Vijayawada: Collector B Lakshmikantham on Thursday briefed the details of crop loss suffered by the district due to cyclone Phethai to the visiting Central team. A photo exhibition on the crop loss suffered by Krishna district was arranged at the Civil supplies office. 

A team from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Disaster Management led by Joint Secretary Sanjeev Kumar Jindal visited the exhibition to assess the loss. 

The collector said agriculture crops and infrastructure facilities were damaged due to the cyclone Phethai. He said the loss was estimated at Rs 526.78 crore. Images related to damaged electric poles, roads and crops were put on display. The team members Abhinav Kumar, Manik Chandra Pundit, R B Kaul and B K Vatsava visited the exhibition.
