RIMS contract staff demands job security in Ongole
Ongole: The women members from the RIMS hospital paramedical contract staff met the Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Sidda Raghavarao in his office in Ongole on Tuesday and explained their woes.
The minister responded positively to their pleas and said that he will discuss them with the chief minister.
The women employees submitted a memorandum to the minister and informed him that they are working in RIMS as contract staff for eight years now.
As the government decided to bring all RIMS in the state, which are semi-autonomous into its administration by making them as government medical colleges and general hospitals, it released a GO No 232 by regularizing doctors working in them.
They said that the GO didn’t mention anything about the paramedical staff and now their future becomes uncertain. They demanded the minister to bring their issue to the notice of the chief minister and protect their future.
The contract employees K Dhanalakshmi, C Sarada, Siva Rajani, Prasanna, Prameela, Madhavi, Sirisha, Ratnakumari, Anita, Sunita, Sujatha, and others participated in the meeting.
