Deputation of govt engineers in TTD opposed
Tirupati: TTD Staff and Workers Front (SWF) stoutly opposed the TTD management move to get the services of engineers from government departments like R and B, PR and RWS on deputation basis on the ground that the qualified engineers working in TTD is sufficient and hence no need of deputation of engineers from outside.
In a press release here on Friday, SWF leader M Nagarjuna said that many qualified engineers even senior engineers with good experience in TTD are entrusted with Facility Management Services (FMS) to look after the maintenance and supervising sanitation and health workers in TTD pilgrim amenities complexes and rest houses amply revealing that the management unable to utilise their skilled services required for engineering and construction works.
In other words, there is absolutely no need of additional number of engineers as the present strength of engineers suffice to the works in TTD. Citing the TTD recent notification inviting the engineers working in government departments to apply for taking their services on deputation, he said it will only burden the TTD and demanded to withdraw it. Nagarjuna also demanded the TTD management to provide minimum wage of Rs 18,000 to all the outsourcing employees in TTD adhering to the Supreme Court direction.
