Vigilance officials keep tabs on TTD staff in Tirumala
Tirumala: The TTD Vigilance wing official have been keeping an eye on employees following detection of black market in darshan tickets. The officials claimed to have caught six TTD senior employees in connection with black market of darshan tickets two week ago.
The Vigilance wing officials are on high alert following the instruction by TTD Additional Executive Officer Dharma Reddy. The officials said the involvement of a few employees in black market racket came to light. The officials have been focussing their attention to check black marketing of tickets.
A senior Superintendent and a senior Assistant have been checking the tickets at entrance. During the inspection, it was found that NRI entry tickets were recycled and thus took the devotees for a ride. It is suspected that a few employees have links with touts. On the instructions of Dharma Reddy, the Vigilance officials have been making all efforts to curb black marketing of tickets.
It may be recalled that three senior employees were remanded in judicial custody following arrest on charge of involvement in black marketing of darshan tickets. The Vigilance officials transferred the case to Tirumala two town police for further investigation. Everyday Vigilance officials are closely watching the temple entry points at Vaikuntam one complex to put full stop to these darshan tickets selling malpractice.
