Tirupati: CPI State secretariat member P Harinadha Reddy called for a ceaseless fight against the anti-people policies of BJP government at the Centre and wanted the activists to work  for protecting the rights of people from the government.

Harinatha Reddy  hoisted the party flag at the district party office here on Wednesday on the occasion of party’s 94th formation day. He said the pro-corporate approach of the successive governments saw the poor become poorer and the rich richer.

The plight of the poor deteriorated after the BJP came power while its aggressive communal approach increased caste conflicts in the country creating insecure feeling among the minorities and threatening national integrity, he said.

CPI was formed on the same day in 1925 and fought fearlessly against the colonial British Raj and after independence the party continued the struggle for the sake of the poor, he stated.

Marking the occasion a medical camp was also organised.  CPI district secretary A Rama Naidu, leaders C Penchalaiah, TJanardhan and others were present.
