Economic City proposed in Nellore
Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that they are acquiring lands for constructing a state-of-the-art economic city in Nellore. He visited city colonies on Sunday and said that they were also taking measures to clear silt in 13 canals in the city limits.
He informed that they would lay foundation stone for construction of 56-storeyed Secretariat building on December 27 in Amaravati. He warned that the contractors have to maintain quality in laying CC roads in the city. Minister inspected works in 11th division in the city and also received grievances from the local people where they appealed to the Minister to arrange street lights.
Speaking to the media, Minister Narayana said that they had taken up laying CC roads on war footing basis. He also said development activities in Corporation limits have been taken up with huge money.
“We have been working hard to make the city clean and green and sanctioned funds for desilting 13 canals within the Corporation limits. We have clearly instructed the authorities and contractors to complete the roads by March 31,’ said the Minister.
He also informed that they are going to construct Ghosha Hospital in the city as per request of Muslim minorities in the city. Former legislator M Sridhar Krishna Reddy and others were present.
