Amaravati Balotsvam starts on Jan 2 at MBVK Bhavan in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The Children’s festival ‘Amaravati Balotsavam’ will be organised from January 2 to 4, 2019, according to the organising committee honorary president Ch Mallikarjuna Rao. 

He along with other members of the committee released the new timetable of Amaravati Balotsvam here on Sunday. The thee-day children fest would begin on January 2 at Krishnaveni Talent School, Patamata.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that the children’s festival was earlier planned in the third week of December, however it was postponed on account of severe cyclonic storm and will be organised in the first week of January.

He said that about 58 events were planned for the festival including four categories seniors (8,9,10), juniors (5,6,7) and also introducing extension of competitions to sub-juniors (2,3,5) sections and baby juniors (LKG, UKG,1st class). 

About 33 events will be in the academic section, 25 in cultural section, he added.
