GUDA holds meet on master plan

Kakinada:  Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna assured that the requirements of people will be taken into consideration in framing guidelines for master plan of Kakinada smart city. Participating in the awareness programme organised at Municipal Corporation meeting hall here on Tuesday evening with people’s representatives, Ganni explained salient features regarding master plan. On this occasion, Ganni disclosed that last year, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced urban development authorities for five municipalities in the state and GUDA was one of them.

Ganni also said that keeping in view the needs of the people for the next three decades and the amalgamation of surrounding villages has been taken up. He also said that the draft master plan will be developed by March 2019. Kakinada rural MLA P Anantakakshmi, Kakinada mayor S Pavani spoke on various aspects related to development of surrounding areas under GUDA.  Vice-chairman of GUDA Dr R Amarendra Kumar dispelled the doubts on guidelines for urban development authority.
