Tirupati: On the fourth day morning on Friday, Sri Padmavathi Devi blessed devotees as ‘Ahalaya Sapavimochana Rama’ as a part of the ongoing annual Karthika Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanur near here..
Kalpavriksha is one among the five ‘Daiva Vriksha, Divine Trees, mentioned in Puranas. Mandara, Parijatha, Samantaka, Hari Chandana and Kalpavruksha are the Pancha Daiva Vrikshas that adorn the garden owned by Lord Indra.
The specialty of this tree is that it is revered as Tree of Eternity. It is considered as a wish fulfilling tree. As a change from the routine, the Puranic themes to vahana sevas is adding extra flavour and attracting devotees in a big way during the ongoing Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor.
On Friday, the Goddess cheered Her devotees with one of the prominent episodes taken from Ramayanam, ‘Ahalya Sapavimochanam’ where Ahalya, the spouse of sage Gautama, was cursed by him to become a stone and regains her human form after she is brushed by Lord Sri Rama’s foot.
