Meet on rooftop organic farming held

 Vijayawada: Minister for Law and Justice, Skill Development, Youth, Sports Kollu Ravindra said that the Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu is encouraging and promoting Zero Budget Natural Farming in the state.

Ravindra on Sunday participated as the chief guest at the inaugural of one day seminar and exhibition on rooftop organic farming, organised by Eco Club of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala with the support of Icon Agro Limited (IAL).

Addressing the gathering, the minister appreciated the organisers for showcasing the event which would benefit the people and encourage everyone towards organic farming. 

He said that more cultivation through organic farming should be achieved by 2024 and praised the efforts and initiation of the college in creating awareness on organic farming.

Speaking to ‘The Hans India’, U Susila, convener of Eco Club and botany faculty, said that the programme was oganised to create awareness among students and society on rooftop farming and organic farming with the support of IAL.
