Free health camp for disabled children conducted

Vijayawada: To mark ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’, Anu Hospitals conducted free health camp to children with disabilities on Monday. 

Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeon K Durganaga Raju said that the aim of organising the free health camp for disabled children was to provide quality treatment. 

He said that treatment given at the right time would cure the problem permanently. As part of this camp, children born with disabilities, curved legs and hands, cerebral palsy, and for children who cannot walk and for children who need surgery, would be treated and surgeries would be performed through NTR Arogyasri, he said.

He said that children suffering from cerebral palsy can be cured by physiotherapy, Botox injection and operation and the children can lead a normal life.

Anu Hospital CEO DR G Ramesh, Dr K Sridevi, Physiotherapist Ramya and others were present.
