AP to help Indonesia in promoting Zero Budget Natural Farming
Amaravati: As the efforts of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu attracted global attention in promoting Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF), an Indonesian delegation led by the country’s minister for agriculture and planning Sofyam A Djalil requested the state government to help the farmers in their country to shift to ZBNF from traditional farming.
Sofyam A Djalil and delegates met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Undavalli on Wednesday and evinced interest to join together with Andhra Pradesh to develop ZBNF in Indonesia.
Reacting to their request on promoting the ZBNF in Indonesia, the Chief Minister said that the state government would help their farmers in cultivating through ZBNF technology.
The Indonesian minister also asked to provide the BBNF technology to their country in order to develop agriculture a sustainable vocation. The four-member team discussed with Chief Minister about ZBNF during a luncheon meeting at the CM’s residence.
Impressed by the presentation of the Chief Minister in United Nations on ZBNF recently, the Indonesian agricultural minister visited AP for field study of ZBNF. The delegation visited West Godavari and after completing ZBNF field visits, interacted with farmers.
The Chief Minister said the ZBNF was promoted in six lakh acre in the state. He said efforts were on to extend the area of ZBNF to one crore acre.
The Indonesian minister praised the efforts of the Chief Minister in promoting ZBNF to supply organic food to people.
