KE Krishnamurthy vows to develop Kurnool city
Kurnool: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy affirmed of developing Kurnool city on all fronts after performing bhoomi puja for the construction of Kalyana Mandapam on the premises of Rambotla temple here on Friday. He was accompanied by Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh, MLC KE Prabhakar and MLA SV Mohan Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he is very fortunate to perform bhoomi puja for the construction of Kalyana Mandapam on the auspicious occasion of Dasara. He stated that Rambotla temple is very famous and large number of devotees offer prayers here. Even, several marriages were performed on the temple premises, he stated and stressed on the need for a Kalyana Mandapam.
Krishnamurthy instructed the officials concerned to create parking and other facilities for devotees. The Minister further said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is striving for the development of newly formed Andhra Pradesh. “Despite revenue deficit after bifurcation, the TD government laid new roads and provided drinking water. Instead of praising Naidu’s efforts, opposition parties are intentionally making allegations and creating hurdles for the development,” he added.
Krishnamurthy advised them to give suggestions in the Assembly instead of spreading false rumours. TG Venkatesh mentioned that residents of Kurnool city celebrate all festivals cutting across religious and caste barriers. He assured people of extending cooperation and assistance in developing the temples in the city. The MP said that he will give the margin amount of 30 per cent for the construction of Kalyana Mandapam.
