Heavy demand for cell phone charging in Titli affected areas
Srikakulam: Mobile phone is becoming an essential good and part of our body in modern life. Even in villages and remote areas, cell phone is becoming one of the important tool.
People are habituated and addicted for quick and accurate communication and minute to minute follow up. Due to Titli cyclone power supply disrupted in Itchapuram, Kaviti, Kanchili, Sompeta, Mandasa, Vajrapukotturu, Palasa, Meliaputti, Sitampeta and Tekkali mandals from Wednesday night as a result cell phones are in off mode and communication network affected heavily.
Public is doing rounds to re-charge their phone to communicate their safe position and cyclone damage to family members, relatives and friends who are settled in other areas in the state and across the country. In this back drop people are started gathering to re-charge their phones where ever generator arranged. ‘I re-charged my cell phone two days at national high way toll gate to maintain communication’ L.Sridevi resident of Laxmipuram village in Palasa mandal said. ‘We lost communication due to switch-off of our cell phones in the wake of power crisis for the last six days’ said Ch.Damodar, V.Dhilleswar, P.Dharma Rao of Geddavuru, Erramukkam villages in Mandasa mandal.
