Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court, comprising Chief Justice T B Radhakrishnan and Justice V Ramasubramanian on Wednesday heard a public interest litigation filed by Jada Sravan Kumar against the alleged incorporation of shell companies in Andhra Pradesh.

The bench directed the petitioner to withdraw his petition as he did not exhaust his options before the competent authorities before approaching the High Court. The petitioner withdrew the petition.

The petitioner, Jade Sravan Kumar, alleged that vide GO. Ms. No 13 the government of Andhra Pradesh conferred various benefits in the form of incentives on many companies who are non-existent.

He further alleged that no authority was empowered in the State to act against such shell companies which are established since 2014 in the State.
He also submitted to the court that the information he had sought through Right to Information Act was not provided to him by the government.

After hearing the arguments at length, the bench directed the petitioner to approach the State Information Commissioner for redressal of grievance. If the State Information Commission failed to pay attention to his plea, he can approach the High Court, the bench said.
