Plea to plant, protect trees : MLC Ramu Surya Rao
Eluru: Government Hospital Development Committee chairman and MLC Ramu Surya Rao called upon people to plant at least one sapling and protect it.
He participated in sapling plantation programme held on the premises of the hospital on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said trees would provide fresh air and pleasant ambience.
If everyone involved in plantation, the hospital would become a quick healer of diseases of patients. The fresh air would hasten the recovery and benefit patients.
He informed that the committee was striving to provide best medical care to the patients besides planting saplings in the vicinity of the hospital.
Stating that many philanthropists had been extending their helping hand to develop the area hospital, Surya Rao said that AP Medical Employees Union president K Krishnamacharyulu and his wife Mangatayaru supplied coconut and other saplings for the plantation at the hospital.
Hospital Superintendent AVR Mohana Rao said they were giving priority to sapling plantation to make the hospital surroundings clean and green. Doctors Padma, Victor and Nageswara Rao were among those present on the occasion.
