Make single desk policy efficient,industry officials told

Ongole: Prakasam District Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand ordered the industries department officials to implement the single desk policy efficiently.

He conducted the District Industries Promotion Committee meet at the Collectorate on Friday and approved various applications for incentives from the entrepreneurs in the district.

The Collector said that the government was providing a number of subsidies and reimbursements to encourage entrepreneurs in the district. 

He approved 142 claims and accorded Rs 2.88 crore under five subsidies to the industrialists. He said that the district administration had provided Rs 26.88 crore this year up to now under various subsidies. 

He said that the state received first rank in the ease of doing business and ordered the industries department officials to keep up the spirit by implementing the single desk policy effectively and provide incentives to the entrepreneurs within the time period. 

He warned them against delays in processing the applications and inviting criticism. He also asked the small and medium scale industrialists to submit their applications for the subsidies with all related documents, else they will be rejected.

The industries department general manager, Anand Kumar, deputy directors Venkata Ramana and Nagaraju, assistant directors Sambaiah, Krishnarao, DTC Subbarao, LDM Venkateswarlu, APIIC zonal manager Narasimharao, Social Welfare DD Lakshmi Sudha, district registrar Murali Krishna, SFC Senior Manager Kamalakar, CTO Gopi, electrical department DE Usharani, fire officer Veerabhadra Rao and others also participated in the meeting.
