NBT aims to improve reading habit among children
Parvathipuram (Vizianagaram): The National Book Trust (NBT) would strive to inculcate reading habit among children.
As a part of it, the NBT will be organising book exhibitions across the country, especially, in small towns like Parvathipuram in the district.
On Friday, P Mohan, Telugu editor of NBT, spoke to The Hans India to mark the inauguration of books exhibition. He said: “We are conducting the book exhibition cum sale at Parvathipuram from July 13 to 16 to encourage the children to read books.
The reading habit in children was badly affected by mobiles and computers but the parents should notice that their children should be habituated to read books rather than spending on electronic gadgets”.
A good book is more valuable than a good friend. Books will inspire, guide the students. Of late, the students are purchasing biographies of leaders and personality development books.
