TDP, BJP leaders visit waterlogged colonies in Akiveedu
Akiveedu: Chenchus have been suffering from inundation of their colony due to heavy rains here. Roads to their colonies were blocked by water arresting their movement to the colony.
The colony located near Samatanagar road here was neglected by the officials. Same was the fate of Santinagar residents because of waterlogged roads and house premises.
On Friday, TDP and BJP leaders visited their colony to convey sympathy. Agriculture Market Committee chairman and TDP leader Motupalli Prasad visited the two areas and interacted with the residents.
He talked to officials and arranged first aid centre to contain outbreak of diseases. He also monitored the sanitation in the colonies. He promised Santinagar residents to resolve drainage problem on a permanent basis.
The BJP leader, Nerella Pedababu took initiative and laid walking track with bricks to reach Chenchu colony from the main road.
