Airtravel restriction in Mumbai in the wake of Cyclone Nisarga
In the wake of Cyclone Nisarga, a total of 19 flights which include 11 departures & 8 arrivals will be operating on June 3 from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. The flights will be operated by AirAsia India, Air India, IndiGo, GoAir & SpiceJet. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport will be operating only 12 arrival flights on June 3. The flights will be operated by 4 airlines which include Air Asia India, Air India, GoAir and SpiceJet to 10 sectors

Cyclone Nisarga over east-central Arabian Sea further moved north-northeast direction. Wind speed increases to 24 kmph from 20 kmph during past 1 hour at Ratnagiri (Maharashtra). Rainfall is continuing in Colaba, Santacruz and Goa: India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports ANI
As many as 78,971 persons living near the seashore in Valsad, Surat, Navsari and Bharuch districts are being shifted to safer locations
The NDRF has deployed 40 teams in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. Additional teams are also being airlifted. Rescue and relief teams of the Indian Army and the Indian Navy along with ships and aircrafts of the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force have been put on standby. Ships of the Indian Coast Guard are already engaged in rescuing fishermen at sea.
