Vegetables being sold at fixed prices at Rythu Bazaars: Official
Vijayawada: The marketing officer of Agri Trade L Nityanandam in a statement said that the vegetable vendors in the Rythu Bazaar at Pedana and other places across Krishna district were selling vegetables at the rates mentioned on the board displayed at Rythu Bazaars.
Nityanandam was responding to a report published in these columns on Tuesday saying that the vegetables were being sold at a higher price than what was mentioned on the board. He clarified that no extra amount was being collected.
He further said that he visited Pedana Rythu Bazar along with the marketing department employees and enquired about the irregularities on the prices and interacted with consumers also but did not find any such irregularities.
He asked the consumers to inform the estate officer in case they find any discrepancy in the price or weight and that he would take action accordingly.

He had also taken the version of two other buyers at the market who stated that the prices were not as mentioned on the board.
