TS govt failed to curb seasonal diseases: BJP MLC Ramachander Rao
Secunderabad: BJP MLC Ramachander Rao has alleged that the state government has failed to take necessary measures in time to prevent viral fevers and seasonal diseases.
He was speaking to media after his visit to Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday. During his visit to the hospital, Rao consoled patients suffering from dengue and other viral fevers.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao expressed dissatisfaction over the treatment provided to patients at the hospital. He said that there were 14 patients undergoing treatment for dengue fever and that he had asked the hospital authorities to take necessary measures to ensure that patients do not face any inconvenience, and make sure that necessary medicines are available.
Rao said that several patients from neighbouring districts, such as Warangal, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar, are coming to hospital for the treatment of dengue and other viral fevers.
He accused the state government of not taking necessary preventive measures despite Centre granting crores of rupees under Swachh Bharath initiative. He urged the GHMC officials to take up fogging to prevent mosquitoes in the city.
