Private inter colleges defy Inter Board diktat

Habsiguda: Several Intermediate Colleges in the East Zone have once again (last year three colleges were forcibly shut down after officials from the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) conducted surprised checks) started conducting classed for students even before the Class X results were announced.

Student unions expressed ire over private college managements for violating regulations of Board of Intermediate Education. The unions said the managements were conducting classes during summer vacation despite the board warning them.

"The board also warned colleges not to take admissions before the schedule date. Conducting classes during summer would mount immense pleasure on the students further leading them to despair and depression," they added.

Corporate colleges including Chaitanya, Narayana and Gayatri have been conducting advance inter classes and EAMCET coaching for students who have just done with their 10th class examinations.

AISF leader Lakshman and ABVP Habsiguda in-charge Venkatesh demanded the officials concerned to do away with summer classes and let students have some time for themselves so that they would become better leaders for tomorrow rather than becoming sheep in the heard. He added, "We would approach the Board of Intermediate and if no action is taken, we will stage protest in front of colleges."

This will only make students robots. As the temperatures are increasing day after day there's a danger that students may fall sick due to sun stroke. The student unions question the corporate colleges why they are playing with the lives of students making them sit in closed rooms and making them claustrophobic for merely gaining reputation.
