Inter Board imposes fine to 50 private colleges for holding classes in Dussehra holidays

The Inter Board has fined 50 Corporate and Private Junior Colleges who have conducted classes on Dussehra holidays in violation of government regulations. The colleges were fined Rs 1 lakh per day while some colleges were fined up to 7 lakhs.
Board Secretary Syed Umar Jalil issued notices to principals of the respective colleges. Board officials have revealed that the colleges in which the classes are held are in the presence of Sree Chaitanya and Narayana educational institutions.
"Colleges are advised to pay the fine by November 2, or the affiliation of those colleges will be revoked." the secretary said. Students studying in those colleges would be taking exams from government colleges.
