Officials dump garbage on walkway at lake

Safilguda: The callous attitude of GHMC officials to plug an issue led to another. Recently, a drain, which was choked with garbage, was voluntarily cleared by the locals and joggers of the tank bund. Entering late, the officials cleaned the remaining garbage. But, while doing so, the officials left the garbage on the walkway.

Ravi, a morning walker, said, "Recently the news which was published in The Hans Newspaper made officials swing into swift action, but after cleaning the waste they left it at the same place.

The walkers are unable to walk that side. Mainly it is the area where north side gate joins the park and the walking track. We will protest for protecting the lake, if GHMC does not wake up and take appropriate action."
