Locals raise stink over drainage overflow

Kukatpally: The continuous overflow of drainage water and stagnant sewage water have been a constant source of irritation for the residents of Lake View Colony at Kukatpally.

The intensity of the problem has turned from bad to worse in the past month. Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, Krishna, a local resident said, "Our drainage is overflowing for last 30 days and our community members have made many complaints through GHMC app, but they are not responding to it in the right way.

The area is smelling very bad and is making everyone in our area sick, especially children. The drainage overflow has resulted in the formation of a stagnant water lake in our area."
