INTUC striving for welfare of workers: Sanjiva Reddy
Patancheru: The national president of INTUC, Sanjiva Reddy asserted on Wednesday that the organisation was striving for the welfare of workers. Addressing a gate meeting at Toshiba industry at Rudraram village in connection with the trade union election to be held on November 16, Reddy urged workers to ensure victory of INTUC.
He alleged that the previous winners, BMS and CITU, had deprived workers of their rights and behaved like stooges of the management, while criticising them. If elected, Reddy stated that the INTUC would work for the workers' welfare and be always available daily.
Among the speakers were INTUC all-India adviser Sudarshan Rao, district unit president Narsimha Reddy, Congress party district president Nirmala Jagga Reddy, INTUC State general secretary Prakash Goud, State leaders Nagabushnam, Tilak, industry union leaders Nagabushnam, Yellayya, Tatayya, Sundar, Shoukath, Srinu and Raju.
