Kothagudem: INTUC opposes coal mines commercialisation

Kothagudem: INTUC State Secretary General B Janak Prasad condemned the decision of the Central government to commercialise coal mines.

Speaking with the media here on Thursday, he said that coal and other sectors are witnessing huge loss due to the corona outbreak and the workers of coal industries are the worst hit. Now the Centre's decision of mines commercialisation will suffer them more, he observed.

Prasad said that the Centre's act is against the spirit of nationalisation of coal mines. He said privatisation of coal sectors means massive job

loss and no new recruitments in the sector.
